heh, haven't looked at this game in a while. I can give a bigger hint if this isn't enough, but consider what would happen if you managed to duplicate a player block that didn't have an x on it
In your first hint, you said "Sometimes, a block will get a green dotted line around its edges." Well, I never saw any green, just pink. Did you mean pink? I feel like I'm missing something.
